Today I think I finally figured out what the main problem in my relationship is. A pretty big statement, I know. For a very long time quite often when I open my mouth about anything, literally anything like the weather for instance, this turns immediately into an argument. I thought that maybe I was phrasing my sentences wrong (I'm probably guilty of that too) but recently I was paying more attention and realised the problem is somewhere else. The moment I start to talk my partner forms her opinion about what I'm about to say. I usually get no chance to even finish one sentence. The funny fact is I usually have the same opinion as her but she jumps to conclusions assuming I'm against her. She also feels threatened and and feels like she needs to defend herself so the argument starts prematurely.
